Softpak | NCTS Fase 6 to be implemented on May 16 2026

Dear customer,

On May 16, 2026, Customs will implement Phase 6 of the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS). NCTS is a European digital system used to manage transit declarations. Phase 6 focuses on security controls for goods entering the security area of the European Union, including Switzerland and Norway. Member States may choose whether or not to participate in this phase.

Your action: Check your software version
We kindly request that you verify which version of Softpak you are currently using. If necessary, please install the latest patch immediately. The table below shows the minimum required patch version for your release:

New messages
NCTS Phase 6 introduces 3 new messages:

1 message on the common domain (between national customs authorities):

  • IE119 – Rejection Crossing Frontier

2 messages on the external domain (between Customs and the business community), which the Netherlands has chosen not to implement:

  • IE058 – Rejection from Office of Transit
  • IE117 – Presentation Notification at Office of Transit
